Leftcoastonlooker: Too funny… I adore that scene in Greek Wedding where Toula’s aunt Voula talks about her “bibopsy” with the spinal chord and teeth. Then the hostess comes by and offers some spanakopita to I-AN’s parents–whose pained facial expressions indicate their appetite has just evaporated.

Actually, if I remember correctly “la glace au chocolat” is chocolate ice-cream, isn’t it?
I have never seen “My Big Greek Fat Wedding” – now I might have to watch it, since you liked it

You’re a fantastic writer! You make your audience think and sometimes force the reader to decide whether they truly agree or disagree.
I can’t believe “published” writers are so insecure that they have to make others feel inferior in order to boost their ego, but I’ve seen it a few times with friends who have gotten discouraged by “published” writers.
I’m glad you kept writing.
Greek Wedding – one of the few things I remember is the scene where the aunt talks about the growth that she had removed, only to find out it had been her twin — certainly a unique movie.
I have a Hebrew name IRL, but it’s a family heirloom
I’ll ruminate & cogitate & come up with 8 me-things, thx.

Thanks for playing! I wish there was a French immersion program here! There was in the town I used to live in, but not here. Oh well, we’re doing okay with our own French studies.
